Roots Rising Pre-k curriculum activity packets have everything you need to complete several years of preschool learning at home or in the classroom. After years of teaching and creating curriculum for play based immersive preschools, where learning is hands-on and child initiated, we decided to help support other educators, parents, and caretakers with easy to follow curriculum packets for enriching and engaging fun. Our vision for this curriculum was to provide a fun and simple resource in order to reduce prep time and allow for hands-on engaging activities that touch on a variety of topics. The bundle includes themed units that can be used throughout the year while upholding the California standards as well as following the ECERS guidelines on environmental setup.
This curriculum has been designed to support children from ages 3-5 years old. Our curriculum ideas and activities can help children explore, thrive and prepare for when they head off to TK or kindergarten. We are lifelong learners who believe in trying new possibilities with inspiration from the children in our care. We are members of and follow concepts of CAEYC, Teaching Pyramid, and Outdoor Education. Throughout this curriculum you will be immersing your child/students through many of the early learning skills that will help them thrive with hands on play!
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A PACKET?
The curriculum packet consists of themed units, one unit for each week. In addition, there are holiday and seasonal units throughout the year. Each unit consists of 5 days of learning activities as well as ideas on the environment set up for different learning centers in your space as well as outdoor activities, games, book recommendations, songs, and circle topics to discuss. Each unit has been created to stand alone or to follow a year round calendar.
You can purchase individual theme packets or larger bundled packets. Save money and time. Each theme packet includes
skills that help develop a child's growth in learning.
EACH THEME INCLUDES:
Overview weekly lesson plans, Material Lists, Printable Activities, Activity Pictures, Recommended Circle Topics, Corresponding Book Suggestions, Song & Movements, Sensory Play Activities, Basic Skills/Fine Motor/Gross Motor Activities, Art/Science Activities, Math Activities, Literacy Activities, Environment set up ideas for your Dramatic play area, Block/Building Area, Small & Large Group activities and Games. We also provide resources for you to use alongside the curriculum.
Theme Examples:
Seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall), Continents, Apples, Butterflies, Dinosaurs, Earth Day, Insects, Ocean, Pets, Fairy Tales, Gardening, Transportation, Weather,Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.
